  Description:   The Carnegie Museum of Art offers a distinguished collection of contemporary art that includes film and video works. Other collections of note include works of American art from the late nineteenth century, French Impressionist and Post-Impressionist paintings, and European and American decorative arts from the late seventeenth century to the present. The Heinz Architectural Center, opened as part of the Museum in 1993, is dedicated to the collection, study, and exhibition of architectural drawings and models. The Hall of Architecture contains the largest collection of plaster casts of architectural masterpieces in America and one of the three largest in the world. The marble Hall of Sculpture replicates the interior of the Parthenon..  
  Directions (Car):   From downtown, take I376E to the Forbes Avenue exit. The museum is on Forbes, approximately 1.5 miles from the 1376E exit.  
  Directions (Public Trans):   Bus routes 61A, 61B, and 61C and 67A, 67C, 67E, 67F, and 67J stop in front of the museum. Routes 71B, 71C, and 71D stop one block north of the museum at Fifth Avenue and South Craig St.  
  Parking:   The museum operates a six-level parking facility, with access at the intersection of Forbes Avenue and South Craig Street. Current rates: 0-1 hour $2 1-2 hours $3 2-4 hours $4 4-5 hours $10 Over 5 hours $15 Evening/Wknd Rates $4  
  Disabled Facilities:   The Sculpture Court, Forbes Avenue, and Carriage Drive entrances and the security entrance at the rear are designed to provide access for disabled visitors. Wheelchairs are available free of charge (call 412-622-3343). The parking garage, restrooms, telephones, and other facilities are fully accessible.  
  Catering Facilities:   The Museum of Art Café is open for lunch Tuesday through Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Fossil Fuels Café, which features gourmet coffees, beverages and light fare, is open Tuesday through Sunday until 4:00 p.m.
